Madrasas, schools, community centres, NGOs and CSR teams partner with NEIEA to give their students a live, trained teacher every day. We bring the teachers, the method, the training and the reports. You bring the students and a room.
Your request goes to NEIEA's partnerships team, not the student office, and one officer for your state stays your contact from the first call onwards.
One of your teachers becomes the classroom coordinator. NEIEA trains them free in the method, the technology and managing a blended class.
We register your students, place them in batches by level and agree a timetable slot that fits your institution's day.
Every learner is marked present or absent in every class, so you always know who is attending and who needs a call home.
An initial assessment shows where each child starts; periodic and final assessments show progress, and support is tailored to them.
You receive attendance and progress reports for your students. Learners with 75% attendance who pass the final assessment earn a certificate.
The cost can be met by your institution, a sponsor (CSR, a trust or donors) or NEIEA's own donors. We help you find a sponsor.
Costs ExplainedThis is how NEIEA changes a classroom. A trained mentor teacher teaches the lesson live to several classrooms at once. In each room, a coordinator from the partner institution makes sure every child takes part. Together they give children a teacher who knows the subject and an adult beside them who knows their names.
Data flows back every day. Coordinators and mentors record attendance and scores. The Office calls absent children, the Academic Team improves the next lesson, and partners get regular reports.

A screen alone cannot teach a room of forty children. The coordinator is the mentor's eyes, ears and hands in the room: no child is left behind the screen, and the institution builds its own trained teacher.
Coordinators are trained free in NEIEA's method and classroom technology. Many go on to take the 3-month Teacher Training Course, and the strongest become mentor teachers themselves.
Coordinators don't write lessons or grade exams. Mentor teachers grade their own students; coordinators run the room and pass on what they see.
Millions of children sit in classrooms without a trained subject teacher, or have no classroom at all. NEIEA was set up to change three things.
Many madrasas, government schools and community centres cannot find or afford trained teachers for English, Maths and Science, especially in small towns and poor neighbourhoods.
Children copy from the board and repeat answers for the exam. They rarely get to ask a question, talk it through or work an idea out for themselves.
Children who never enrolled, girls who stop after Class 8, working youth and adults who left school early: the system has no place for them to start again.
We don't build new schools. We change how teaching reaches the classrooms India already has, and the children who have none.
A trained mentor teacher teaches live on a big screen. Several partner classrooms and learners on phones join the same lesson at the same time, so one good teacher reaches hundreds of children.
Learn More 02Our method, Discourse-Oriented Pedagogy, asks children to discuss, create and explain. They understand the lesson instead of learning it by heart.
Learn More 03A teacher from the partner institution runs the room during every live class and learns the method by doing it. 1,450+ educators have been trained so far.
Learn More 04Children who are behind their class get bridging courses in English and Maths, so they can follow their own school lessons again.
Learn More 05Out-of-school children and adults study for National Institute of Open Schooling exams, from Level A up to the Class 10 certificate.
Learn More 06Every learner is assessed at the start, during and at the end, and marked for attendance in every class. Partners and parents see the results.
Learn MoreOur method is called Discourse-Oriented Pedagogy (DOP), pioneered with Dr. K. N. Anandan. The name is long, but the idea is simple: children learn by thinking and talking, not by memorising. Every lesson, in every subject, goes round the same four steps, and every learner is assessed at the start, during and at the end.
TeacherThe teacher sets up a real situation, a picture or a story and asks open questions.
ChildrenChildren think and answer in their own words. No answer is wrong yet.
TeacherThe teacher gives a short task and waits.
ChildrenEach child tries alone first, then shares in pairs and groups, building on each other's ideas.
TeacherThe teacher asks each group to produce something real.
ChildrenGroups write a story, a letter, a conversation, a poster or a worked solution, and present it.
TeacherThe teacher shares their own version and points out language, steps and ideas.
ChildrenChildren compare, edit and improve their work, and say what they learned.
DOP was pioneered with Dr. K. N. Anandan. NEIEA uses it in English, Maths and Science, for children and adults, and trains every mentor and coordinator in it. 1,450+ educators trained so far.
Why it works: a child who has argued about an idea, written about it and explained it to a friend remembers it, and can use it in a new situation. That is the difference between passing a test and actually learning.
