This course is designed for beginners to build essential English language skills. Learners develop basic reading, writing, listening, and speaking through interactive lessons. The course focuses on simple vocabulary, sentence formation, pronunciation, basic grammar, and everyday conversations, helping students communicate confidently and prepare for higher levels of English learning.

What you'll learn

  1. Letters, sounds and phonics
  2. Everyday words: home, school, market, family
  3. Making simple sentences: I am, I have, I like
  4. Asking and answering simple questions
  5. Listening to short stories and talking about them
  6. Greetings, introductions and polite requests

Who it's for

  • Learners who have very little exposure to English. Individuals who can recognize letters but struggle to form sentences. Anyone aged 8+ who wants to build a basic foundation in English.

  • You can recognise most English letters
  • A phone, laptop or a seat in a NEIEA partner classroom
  • A WhatsApp number for class updates
  • A notebook and pen

How the course runs

Classes
Live classes on weekday evenings, 1 hour each, plus short homework
Batch times (IST)
8:00 PM - 9:00 PM · 9:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Teaching
Live on Google Meet with a NEIEA mentor teacher, using Discourse-Oriented Pedagogy
Progress checks
A short speaking and reading check at the start, every few weeks, and at the end
Certificate
NEIEA certificate of completion with 75% attendance and the final assessment

Free. No admission test.
